- and we all rejoice
Good news!
We
had to start the October 'Philosophy of the Found' exhibition without
Robert Villamagna of USA as he was hit hard by the virus.
But now, he's back!
And
his assemblage art joins that of Dale Copeland and Carl Fairweather,
both of NZ. You can see these three very distinctive styles of making
assemblages on the Virtual Tart site at www.tart.co.nz
The
100 handbound 'Philosophy of the Found' books are going well, and, most
exciting, the worldwide celebratory party - making up for all the
lockdown closures - no book launch, no exhibition opening party - is
turning into an exciting affair. Just waiting on a few more photos that
have been promised.
I'm binding the big book, just leaving
room for those last few photos of people celebrating. It has turned into
a monumental record of this year; artists staying buoyant in spite of
the pandemic, celebrating the act of art-making.
Thank you
all. I hope that in the future your grandchildren will see this record
of you celebrating in spite of this tough year, and be proud.
Do have a look at the full exhibition ... the styles of these three artists are SO very different.
